The Ultimate Gift Guide on a Budget

Ever heard of the Enneagram Type Indicator Test? Similar to the Myers-Briggs Personality Test, the enneagram measures your personality type from a series of questions you have answered. In total, there are nine enneagram types. And while you’ll likely associate yourself with all of the nine types, there’s one meant to represent your closest self.

Of course, personality tests aren’t exact representations of who we really are. But I love how the enneagram is an in-depth analysis of the traits we possess and challenges us to become more aware of our strengths and weaknesses.

My enneagram type

As for me, I’m a textbook 2, also known as "The Giver", according to the enneagram. Us 2’s are the kind of people that will put your needs before our own. We’re the first ones to show up with a bottle of wine after you’ve had the worst day and strive to be that person who will encourage and support you whenever you need it. We find joy in being that person who is there for you unconditionally.

And, as you might have assumed, we thrive during the season of giving. Yes, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year for me and my enneagram 2 friends.

Like my enneagram type suggests, giving gifts is kind of my jam. Yes, I’ll always be a firm believer that presence trumps presents, but I still believe a well thought out gift can add joy and value to someone’s life.
